But maybe if there's a willingness to approach how we deal with each other differently, especially organization to organization, group to group, a call to such action/activity might be the "doing something different" some of us are looking for. It sure seems that such a shift out of the ordinary could not only make any discussions between and among us more productive, but also probably more efficient and effective. For instance, Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler's call for us "to seek solutions collectively" might better stand the chance of being that much more productive, efficient, and effective a set of discussions if only we could "break-cycle," break the mold of whatever box we're in interpersonally.
